Here are some of the key dates for voters ahead of the Connah's Quay Central by-election on Thursday 9th July 2026. If you are eligible to vote but are not yet registered, or if you need to apply for a postal or proxy vote, please make sure you do so before the relevant deadlines.
🗳️ Register to Vote
Deadline: Tuesday 23rd June 2026
This is the last day to submit an application to be included on the electoral register for this election.
This is also the deadline to apply for a postal proxy vote or to make changes to an existing postal or proxy voting arrangement.
👥 Apply for a Proxy Vote
Deadline: 5:00pm on Wednesday 1st July 2026
If you cannot attend your polling station in person, this is the deadline to appoint someone to vote on your behalf (excluding postal proxy and emergency proxy applications).
📮 Replacement Postal Votes
Available from: Friday 3rd July 2026
If your postal ballot paper is lost or does not arrive, you can apply for a replacement from this date.

Polling stations are open from 7:00am until 10:00pm.
Simply attend the polling station listed on your poll card. No photographic ID is required for this by-election.
⚠️ Emergency Proxy & Replacement Postal Vote Deadline
Deadline: 5:00pm on Thursday 9th July 2026
This is the final deadline to apply for a replacement postal vote if your ballot paper has been lost or spoilt, and for emergency proxy vote applications.
